I am an artist/teacher that started my business in 1996. I developed a product called Sube Learning language thru Art, Music & Games (http://www.sube.com)to' target='_blank'>http://www.sube.com)to teach Spanish (and now English, http://www.englishsube.com)' target='_blank'>http://www.englishsube.com) to children pk-5th grade. The product is a box that contains the manual and all the multimedia materials the teacher needs to teach Spanish to kids (1-2 year curriculum).



I want my product to be a gateway now into this new arena of user generated content and participation, and I have been listening, watching and researching these new tools for a while now, but am still not sure how to launch into it.



Being of the baby boomer generation, this all does not come so naturally to me, but being an artist and entrepreneur, I can see the opportunity and am antsy to try it out.



Any suggestions?

I just found this amazing website and while surfing through FAQs, i realized that this site caters to only those who have submitted their ideas by August 2008 but after having surfed some more, i saw that ideas are still lined up for voting for the next round. Can anybody throw some light on what is happening here because i seem to be wondering. There also seemed to be, according to me, a lot of confusion about the points.? How does the whole process works..?



Also does Cambrainhouse applies only to a resident of certain nation or does it applies to everyone from any corner in the world?

It's the gift cards themselves which introduced cost due to fraud. Its zero cost to keep PREZZLE up without the gift cards. Again, we're hoping an opportunity will present itself while we focus on Chaordix, GWABS and building verticals for clients.

I see that Prezzle is operational but that there are no gift cards to choose from! Is this a temporary issue or has it been like this for a while?

It seems a waste to keep the site up without any gift cards, considering (I believe) there is no site upkeep to worry about.

Is this true, Cambrain House (CH) is abandon? So does this means, no one own's this site? How do that effect the members or doesn't it? Can someone take over as princple owner, how does that work?

I completely agree with you about VenCorps...





I'm loving the education head-fake that happens while you work with the community over at vencorp but.... now that i'm digging into these venture websites it is the first stage of development that I'm interested in pursuing.... the ideas... not the business runnings things etc.

Hi guys, it's been a loooong time since my postings. It's about the ideas AND the money. Why, why was Cambrian house abandomned. I thought it was going to complement Vencorp, not be replaced by it --which would be fine if it was about ideas AND venture seeking. Most of us were about idea development, team building AND THEN Venture seeking. Not just the latter. I haven't been to VenCorp for a while but my early impression was that it was not for the early idea development or early startup

It's not about the money at all. It's about the team work. Venture capital is good and all. But, what we need is a new way for teams to organize projects and work together. I think that's the real part missing.

Give away more money, and make the giveaways more often. People come to Cambrian house for this reason, if nobody knows this you are very blind. Look around, people are just interested about winning money. And then maybe a chance to take their idea to the next level. But crap, nobody can't take a great idea a long ways with a $100. Look at Ideablob on the internet. Their web traffic reaches about 30K right now. Cambrian House's web traffic reaches at least 20K. Check it out on http://www.compete.com. Ideablob gives away 10K for an idea. Now we are talking there. That is what Cambrian House needs to do. If you don't like Cambrian House I say check out Ideablob, it is really a great site if you want to really win some money for an idea. And there you go.

We've got a Gwabs launch deadline which made a delightful sound as it rushed past. I'll clean up CH once we've got Gwabs under control. Not clean up as in fun and exciting and active, but clean up so the redirections to chaordix, vencorps and gwabs are clear.



Thanks to JelmerBV for updating me whenever there's spam. Our CH monitor screen has been repurposed as a green screen for shooting Gwabs video. While spam on CH doesn't impact any of our processes, its sort of a matter of principle to delete those spam posts once in a while.



Its funny I was shopping for a used iPhone on Craigslist and I suspect some of the posts were made by similar spammers. Not a single Craigslist ad I responded to about iPhones responded back to me. (Not that the listings looked identical, but I was trying to figure why someone would advertise a phone but not respond to inquiries... maybe they just wanted to collect contact info to direct more spam to.) (eBay worked well though. Oh Android G1... you haven't quite nailed it yet. I'll be eagerly awaiting a G2.)



With the North American economy slowing down, I hope one day to appeal to Nigerians for financial assistance.

Hey Brenden, I know there's a concern we haven't yet communicated to all alpha invitees.



VenCorps wants to keep this quite private at the moment. So discussing overall impressions is fine, but (at the opposite end of the spectrum), posting screenshots, they (and we) definitely don't want.



Our FAQ has just been updated to reflect new VenCorps point bonuses offered for your Cambros and GPs, and I know Will Pate is posting new pertinent content on his blog.



For those members already affected by incorrect VenCorps points calculations, I'll be correcting their VenCorps account shortly.



We're totally finding glitches as this first batch goes forward, and we're improving our code and messaging to reflect that.



I don't expect you'll see a comprehensive list of invitees here, its sort of their business (the invitees) whether or not they want to share. But I can tell you its a short list, but for the amount of insight its offered, its plenty big enough.
