Why not have a employer/employee search site that tests all job searchers' IQ and display the results (confidentially) to the potential employers? I would think most employers would welcome

seeing a concrete measure of a candidate's mental aptitude. Of course, IQ would be just one of several aspects on which to judge a candidate.

Skeptics who believe that IQ scores are of no value could simply ignore this data point.

Scenario 1: UNESCO has an RSS feed with all of their World Heritage sites on it. One bloody giant feed for all the hundreds of world heritage sites. It's rarely updated. It's an unmanageable size. But with a service like this you could create a "World Heritage Site of the Week" feed and look at it in Google Reader.



Scenario 2: I use a lot of the web 2.0 music services. Last.fm. CBCRadio3.com. imeem.com. On several of these services I have a favorite songs list. And a feed for that list. With a service like I describe I could take one of those 'favorite songs' RSS feeds and easily turn it into a "My Song of the Day" list that I could distribute to my friends for them to listen to as an audio podcast.

A website that allows anyone to 'assemble' their own ambient/meditation music tracks from pre-made 'building blocks', loops, sfx, etc. This would be geared towards yoga/meditation instr/pract, spa and massage, doctor/dentist, sleep, etc.



'Building blocks' would consist of 30 second loops that fall into a few categories: Flowing chords, Nature SFX, Rhythms/percussion, Other. The loops are all tempo/key synced (any combination of blocks sound good together) however overall key can be changed if desired. By layering any of the hundreds of 'building blocks', thousands of combinations can be created for your own ambient music/meditation experience to suit your needs.



The end product is a customized "song" anywhere from 5 to 60 minutes incorporating all the elements chosen by the author. A .wav file is rendered and made available for the customer to download (or maybe burned CD sent if desired). Priced by how long the song is and how many elements/layers used

I am a musician/sound designer, and almost exclusively compose new age/world/chillout tracks. All the necessary loops/'buolding blocks' I can create fairly easily (royalty free and original). Giving the public the ability to assemble these 'audio building blocks' a create ambient tracks catered specifically to their environment, class pace, or clientle. The work is all done under the hood by the site and by the customer (no moderation but I'm sure some light tech service maybe).

I would just want to improve on the idea of crowdsourcing to also be able to pre-source the works to lots of different programmers, designers so that when someone needs a solution they can just choose the components, plug them together in the website and preview the application and buy it.



Execution:



The platform needs to work on a set of library and an api so that programmers can standardize and plug their components to; which would provide an almost WYSIWYG interface for users.



The idea here is to provide a faster solution to the clients when they need. And expect they have no detailed computer knowledge.



The pricing could actually depend on the programmer/designer who has the ability to price his resellable component/asset (Some assets might not be resellable eg. Designs) upon upload. When the user is choosing a component he would know how much he is paying for.



The future: Be able to build large complete applications.

why would any one need to pay a lot for something that has been being done for years now. If anyone wants a content management system and can get it for lot lot cheaper as one time fee then why not?



Even if there are lots of different sites that provide these solutions, still a complete stop shop is yet to be seen.

The idea is to create a community of 12 photographers around the globe who all submit 1 image per month. The site yearly12 will host the images and each month there will be a new exhibition of that month's 12 images.



Each year the photographers will have a theme to work to e.g. Favorite places or seasons etc. The photographer will also submit a short description along woth the photograph.



At the end of the year, along with the site of all 144 images, a coffee table book will also be published which will contain all the images, artist bio's and image descriptions.

at school it was a super boring day but then I dozed off and thought of something............................

Cellphone that rings when you say it's name. So that if you lose it, you can call out for it and it will ring. Great for when you lose it in a messy room.

There are tons of sites out there where you can go and search for a road trip. They will give directions and things to do and you can print it and go. However, I kind of find that boring. This idea takes it to a new level. It's basically youtube and myspace for road trips. you type in a destination lets say NY to CA and click enter. Instead of getting things to do, you get pictures and or videos of people who did that trip. Each trip has a rating system. When you click on a particular trip you get to see everything they did first hand. Thousand of ideas form diff people. You can email them with questions and so on . I Think it will be a hit. Problem is you need lots of cash to start the vidoe and pictures going.
