Have been on Flickr and noticing that some pages get loads of traffic but there is no benefit to the end user.

This website would be similar to Flickr but with a twist where it integrates with the Google Adsense API and people make money by driving traffic to their site and getting people to click on their ads.

People could also target their pages around certain topics such as photos of flowers or photos of people, and the website could sell targeted banner ads and they would get the cash for it.

The premise is that people can easily upload pictures, if they have good pictures people will drive to their site and download pictures, but also click on ads.

...editing my photos to post on Flickr. Uploading images without editing first or with no borders is so boring so I always like to add a little something something like a filmstrip or polaroid outline. It would be super cool if the export plugin had some default templates too.

Get a list of all movies airing in cinemas near you on your mobile by sending a simple sms containing your city. Access traiers, reviews, movie details by sending a simple sms containing the name of the movie and what you want, trailer, review, cast... This shouldnt be restricted to movies only but to general events such as parties, theater plays, concerts, restaurants and so on. For example i can send an sms containing city and pizza and it would provide me the clossest pizza restaurant and telephone number.

by searching trough lots of insipid pages for movies running NOW in a cinema in my city or wnating to order a pizza and not knowing the restaurant's telephone number.

Kinda similar to copilot.com, but I should be able to request help and have anyone (who passed a qualification) respond. The "helpee" would pay for the help, and the "helper" would be paid.

...fielding yet another call from my father-in-law who for some reason cannot figure out how to send an e-mail no matter how many times I walk him through it. It would be nice if he just had more people to call when he needs help.

A 2 to 4 player online or physical card game that teaches basic programming concepts. The game is similar in concept to a driving game called "Mille Borne" which some of you might have played in your youth. The object of the game is to be the first to create, compile and run a program consisting of program statements, while attempting to stop your opponents with various 'bug' cards. Points are awarded by cards played as well as bonus cards.
The game can be marketed to the general card game playing public as well as to schools (middle to high school) to teach programming concepts as well as learn terms related to programming.

I'm a gamer. I'm a programmer. Was trying to figure out a fun way to explain the logic and building blocks behind my craft. The gist of the game came out when I attended a multi-day "game convention" where I played board and card games until I dropped.
The basics of the physical game design is done. But it could benefit from a graphics makeover as well as play testing of the rules. I'm not ruling out a web based version either.

New community around the idea of '101 things to do before you die'. Track your life story in a series of events while adding notes, photos, and video. Compete with others or band together.

Create your own desktop Creature that lives on your desktop and can visit other peoples computers, explore and come back to report and be cared for.
By controlling them from the task bar, you can set them against other creatures other people have created. Let them lose on the internet, track where they are, see them learn and change by meeting other creatures.
Uses peer to peer technology to have the creatures interact. Allow coding of internals for advanced users.

Create a graphical user interface that is customizable with anything that you find on the web etc. that is important to you. Taking a google customized web desktop browser to a new level. It would allow you to drag and drop links, text copy, photos, etc onto your workspace (desktop in the form of a browser window probably) that you could access from anywhere you could get on a computer with a browser. Kind of like the way you can keep things on your desk at home, bits of paper, photos, articles, links to blogs or newspaper articles and so on.

I was frustrated at having to look in several places for links and some text copy that I was looking for. It seemed that it should be easier to keep your stuff organized without having to put it in a standardized form. Why can't objects be placed anywhere on a virtual space and stay where we put them?

Use google maps to show radio stations in each city. Provide links if you can listen online. Color code the radio stations by music type.

Humourous Computer Dialog Joke 'winks' (light-herted animated pop-ups) that spread like wildfire on MSN Messenger.
I have come up with a dozen or so humourous fake computer dialogs - or 'DireLogz' (yeah, they're really that bad!) which have made my colleagues laugh. This idea is easy to contribute to. Submit a geek joke to the project and have it published. Artsy-types can have fun drawing them up.
What if you could make these DireLogz pop up on someone else's console as a practical joke? Well, the perfect mechanism is already there in MSN Messenger - a feature called 'Winks', which can be implemented by anyone. People that really like them can subscribe to have a new one pop up on their desktop each morning.
Once the brand catches on, produce themed items featuring the most popular DireLogz on T-Shirts, mugs and other personalized items.

We all like a good laugh - especially about things that bug us from day to day - like our computers.

There are many sites out there that try to offer great deals aggregated from across the web. Most of these deals are terrible, outdated or just plain lame. This site will aggregate those deals into one place and allow site users to vote on the deals Digg style and filter out the junk from the genuinely good deals.

An online version of the 'tell me your memories" books. I could create a new account, answer the questions as well as upload photos and video clips. Then share my memories with only certain people.

I thought of this idea when...
...diagnosed with cancer. A friend gave me the MOM, SHARE YOUR LIFE WITH ME book so I could capture all my childhood memories to share with my kids but I couldn't help but think it would be so much better online since I could upload photos and such.

When pasting images into an e-mail (or attaching) compress the image automatically so the image so your email file size isn't crazy big.

how many times have you tried to send your photos to your friend via e-mail only to have it bounce back or not go through since they can only accept e-mails less than 3MB? Or your friend sends you all his photos from his latest trip and their 1 e-mail takes up your entire hotmail inbox!

All photo editors have the standard effects: brighten, red eye, sepia...but this 'fun effects' plugin would allow you to: add red eye, devil's ears, knock out teeth, add warts and such.

Hi. My idea was for a website, where people could post inventions and already invented products, and people around the world will be able to add to the inventions, improve upon it, come up with a better design, etc.
For example, NASA could post their Mars Exploration Rover on there. Then overnight people would post many ideas on how to improve it. With a voting system, only the best ideas will be added to the invention post.
I think this idea will change the world, because the more people that contribute to something, it always turns out better. This means any invention, down to the DVD players in our home, could be improved upon if they had millions of people working on them.
Everybody from a 5 year old boy, to a 90 year old grandma could contribute.

With your ftp drop, how about including a folder mailbox drop.Similar idea, place a shortcut on your desktop, want to copy a file or more to specific folder ?, drag the file over the shortcut icon and the file(s) are copied directly to the destination. Have some feedback when the file is copied there, like noise or a light or change the icon colour. It's not a FTP drop, but a direct mailbox drop that goes all the way down the folders hierarchy without you needing to open up the extensive hierarchy.

A pizza website that you can custom made the pizza as you wish. A round blank pizza in the middle, surrounded by all different ingredient that particular pizza supplier has. So those ingredient can be drag and drop to the 'blank pizza' and every dropping will be certain charges. You can drag in as much ingredient that you want but make sure it won't cost you too much.
This system will link with pizza restaurant ordering system.

I know this idea sounds silly but Chipotle (McDonald's) would buy it if it worked. I love Chipotle and I hate lines. The inspiration came because I used to have a script I could hit via my Treo that would generate an email to my MyFax account and ultimately fax my order to Chipotle so I could skip the line. Don't laugh- it was usually a 45min wait. This is a huge kludge and now Chipotle has an online service for ordering so this could be integrated much better. As long as you abstracted it right, it could also be made to work with many restaurants and not be confined to just burritos ;-)
