DOORS MORE THAN OPEN AT CAMBRIAN HOUSE
Cambrian House delivers "crowdsourcing technology in a box" and
evolves its focus to developing its crowdsourced product portfolio
CALGARY,AB - (May 20, 2008) - Cambrian House today announced an agreement for the first sale of its "crowdsourcing technology in a box."
Cambrian House continues to own and develop its Chaordix™ crowdsourcing platform and intellectual property, and now offers "crowdsourcing technology in a box" to new industries and enterprises wishing to bring crowdsourcing to their own businesses.
This transaction coincides with a shift in Cambrian House's strategy from hosting and developing a mass crowdsourcing community itself, to instead enabling partners with its crowdsourcing technology. This evolution of its business model has been underway for more than a year and this sale represents the first revenue from the new strategy. Cambrian House expects to announce additional agreements in the next few weeks.
"The Cambrian House crowdsourcing community has attracted 50,000-plus smart, creative people who work together with the ambition to turn ideas into real, successful businesses," said Michael J. Sikorsky, chief executive officer of Cambrian House. "We are a great innovator, but when it came to infusing venture capital and deep investing experience into the community, we have chosen to seek a partner to realize the promise of commerce that we made to our community."
Cambrian House will continue its focus on developing the crowdsourced ventures within its portfolio including Gwabs™, Greedy or Needy™, and the Chaordix™ crowdsourcing platform.
