Crowdsourcing gives me that opportunity to support my diversity of interests. It keeps me alive with new challenges and interesting projects. Can't get much better than that can you? Oh yeah, and what's my risk? Time. I personally call it play time.John Lynn, Feb 2007

Calgary, Canada – Cambrian House Inc, the leading commercial crowdsource company, announced today they have paid out the first set of Royalty Points to the community members who submitted ideas for GWABS, a multiplayer desktop combat game.
GWABS will be Cambrian House’s first crowdsourced game and has generated revenue from a high volume of pre-orders. Still in development, tasks will continue to be released to community members to complete for Royalty Points. Join the community at www.cambrianhouse.com.
“We’re once again proving that our crowdsource model works,” says Michael J. Sikorsky, CEO, Cambrian House. “Since GWABS is already showing high demand, we felt our community members should feel the positive effects, too.”
Royalty Points –How it Works: Each project starts with 1,500 Royalty Points. Up to 150 points are allotted to the inventor of the idea, and the remaining points are divided among development tasks depending upon their complexity.
"Receiving my first cheque was fantastic,” said Matt Corby, a member of Cambrian House’s community who submitted an idea for a desktop combat game. “I wasn't expecting this... it’s very welcome."
20 community members already currently working on all aspects of GWABS, including character concept, animation, copy writing, website design and development, and game design. To learn more about the game and pre-order a copy, visit www.gwabs.com.
Headquartered in Calgary, Canada – Cambrian House is the first and only crowdsource software company to leverage the age of the “participatory internet” by harnessing the power of crowds to develop software from concept to final product and paying them to do so.-30-
