For Immediate Release
August 25, 2006
Crowdsourcing software development community opens up Prezzle and Cambrian House Website for crowdsourcing tasks via NorseForge – http://norseforge.cambrianhouse.com.
CALGARY, AB — August 25, 2006 — Cambrian House Inc., a Calgary-based software company with a unique crowdsourcing business model, recently released 75 tasks to its 5000+ member community. Having seen the overwhelming support for the three project tasks released August 2nd, 2006, Cambrian House responded with even more tasks the Community can partake in.
The huge task release is on the heels of the company awarding its first Royalty Points and Glory Points to its Community. "As a gesture of appreciation, we awarded everyone who submitted tasks for Royalty Points a cash reward. We wanted to help our members on their way to their first million," says Michael J. Sikorsky, CEO of Cambrian House. "In order to further help our members get there, we're going to have to post more tasks."
The 75 tasks consist of those for Royalty Points, which allow for members to collect dividends of a profitable product, and those for Glory Points, which are a reward to Community builders, exchangeable for things like Cambrian House T-shirts and special recognition.
"It's clear that the Community wants to have a role in the burgeoning products," remarks Sikorsky. "In response, we're excited to open up Prezzle, one of our most established products, to the Community."
In addition to opening up Prezzle, Cambrian House is also creating the world's first crowdsourced book as well as allowing members to contribute to the site. For helping build the Community and improving the site, members will be awarded Glory Points.
All the tasks will be made available to all Cambrian House members through NorseForge.
Cambrian House's 75 tasks in Norseforge are available at: http://norseforge.cambrianhouse.com/.
The new crowdsourcing community is free to join and can be accessed via their website: http://www.cambrianhouse.com/.
