I'm extremely interested and motivated to start my own business. I hope to eventually start a few schools and universities as well as create a social entrepreneurship VC firm. I really want to find solutions to global problems. In the meantime, however, I'm trying to understand how to start ventures and maintain efficient organizations. I dislike anyone that's looking for a quick buck or doesn't take responsibility for their actions. I had a co-founder that destroyed my respect and friendship with him because of failure to take responsibility at a key time. At the VC he blamed me for losing "our" fund even though I did all the work. I chose him because he's really smart. Soon after I realized Robert Half's wise words, "hard work without talent is a shame, but talent without hard work is a tragedy."
