Michael is a grad student at Royal Roads University in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia where he is in his first year of a Master of Arts degree in professional communication. His areas of interest include marketing, brand promotion, communication strategy, and crisis management. He has extensive experience with online content writing for many blogs and precursors (E/N sites). Additionally, Michael has designed advertisements and websites and has served as vice president of communication for political party campus clubs. As a part-time marketing assistant at Cannon Design Architecture Inc., Michael coordinates with project architects, officers, and corporate leadership in responding to RFPs and creating proposals for multi-million dollar projects. He is also experienced with Quark, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Deltek CRM database. Prior to joining Cannon Design, Michael taught as an English teacher in Nagoya, Japan at Tokai Gakuen high school where he created and taught a Grade 11 curriculum for over 300 students. Michael brings energy to teams and his unique way of approaching problems bring value to his projects. He graduated from the University of Victoria in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
