Welcome to my nerdmare
Blogging since '06, Hez served as contributing editor, copy editor and featured writer at Vancouver's alternative “The Nerve Magazine" for two years, but moved her political gossip column, "Civixen", to the now-defunct “Terminal City”, partly because punk rock guys never seemed to put out. During the '05 Vancouver civic elections, she produced her column for CBC Radio One's “Early Edition” and has been a guest speaker at the Canadian University Press conference for two years (despite flashing her bra to the CUP lady president during the saxophone solo of "Ghostbusters"). She does freelance PR for a variety of local artists, musicians and designers, wrote the featured essay in the current Time Out Guide to Vancouver, and in '06 created and edited a short-lived quarterly travel adventure magazine called “Thirst”. Raised on the left coast, Hez's high school's sports teams were actually called the Cougars, and she is a Railway Girl, a certified SuperHost and a qualified Irish whiskey taster. (Yikes.) Her ribald escapades have scandalized several continents, but the details remain sketchy. As a wise man once said, "Disco Stu doesn't advertise." Hez currently serves as site blogger and social networker at MovieSet.com.
