In my real life I am a technology, process, and strategy consultant in the Financial Services and Banking sector. I am also a technology consultant at an MIT facility. I do not typically hang out with VC (**typical follow-on question) although I have been a part of two non-profit start-ups. I am techno-junkie business-junkie living around the Boston area. My “hobby” is creating data driven web apps with a specific niche in mind " I’m usually a LAMP guy, some Java and occasionally I find a compelling API to play with. I am usually creative enough to overcome technical limitations and a wicked optimist about every facet of a project. I despise energy hogs (pessimists who suck the life out of a project) but I value honest input and constructive critiquing. So I work 50 to 60 hours a week and typically bite off more than I can chew with peripheral projects, which typically ends with my family (wife and 4 kids) initiating an intervention which results in me committing to a series of family UNO episodes. I will however sneak back into the office after my wife has fallen asleep on the couch. This way I recover about three hours of solid development and pondering time every day or two. The family always comes first (it’s a balance thing) but sleep is somewhere around #4 and a lot can be stuffed in between. My value added representation is sound technical knowledge, creativity, SDLC experience, a natural affinity for marketing and entrepreneurial pursuits with a touch of greed (for motivational purposes only), presentation, communication, sales and global perspective. J
