For everyone who has an opinion on a subject the opinion web site is a source of expression and information that help people understand people. Unlike Surveys or Blogs our product can give freedom of expression with a quantifier that makes sense.
This web site would be a place for people to post their opinion on any subject.
You could also browse to see what other people think about a subject.
This information could be sold and make revenue.
Company X wants to know if product Y is good or not.
A government wants to know if people like their leader.
The postings would be available with information about gender, age and region. NO OTHER personal information could be bought.
People would be able make their voices herd without danger to them or family.
This could also be used for human rights, research, marketing and scocial analysis tool
I wanted to know what other people thought of things
kind of like Http://amiannoying.com/(t5lwx145vhd1ru2w1txyi2r1)/Default.aspx but for everything but people.
Too many cross references are available online, for confidentiality.
without that, there would be no value in the data.

Http://amiannoying.com is not even close to what I was proposing.

Tell me how you can find out who said something if we only report, the gender, age, and general area.
Moogy.
It can always be traced what you do on the internet. Privacy does not exist. Point.
Besides that I think your idea is to broad. It might work if you have one subject to vote about every day, but even then I have my doubts. The other question why would be people vote. What’s in it for them?
Loads of success!
Tommy.
Online polls are basically useless because they're too easy to manipulate. Look at the latest problems on CH where people used sock puppets and false spam reports to manipulate voting, and this community has self-selected a pretty good group. If you have an open website with no authentication, then as soon as you post a controversial topic the results will get manipulated by both sides and the end result only shows which side has the more effective botnet.
And if you add strong authentication to vote, you risk losing the privacy aspect unless it's handled very carefully, so carefully that most people wouldn't bother.
actually, you can make a totally anonymous opinion site, if you do not use handles, nicks etc. ... But then what's the point? Vanhees - you are wrong -
if there is no email link, then here is only an IP address, which can be traced only by court order, and even that is not perfect.
so the main point? how to make money with this? people will not pay for random rants - this is not market research either, so it's zero value.
great idea
Their is no voting in my idea just posting opinions.
Thanks TheGuru for the comment.
