For Kids and parents who who discern educational materials for their kids and value a well meaning informations the Jubril's WHO's WHO is a comprehensive directories, and on-line services that contain the biographies of outstanding men and women in a wide range of professions, achievements, heroism, with respective geographic locations. that have video profile, 3D animation and other helpful materials that is kids friendly languages and a theme that will shapes a clean and universal thirst for a peaceful world.. Unlike the existing resources and kids almanac which are rather broad and lacks youthful appeal our product change the way Kids surf for info and will be tap publications and schools for their support and ads including govt endorsement for its effort and advocacy for cause to be supported such as Special Education program for the handicapped.

The Idea

A sort of kid's online Almanac that will features biograhpies of icons and heroes(modern day one) and luminaries that helped and will help kids lifestlye and daily living for a better world.

I thought of this idea when I was...

I thought about this when i was browsing the established Marqui's who's who are mostly for adult and the layout, appeal and writing style are for grown ups. It misses a lot of new heroes and great people like TIME magazine yearly most influential people listings.

Yeap, it is really interesting, i think your idea is great,

It is possible that service is in multiple languages, any kids around the world don't understand english ;-) and they will translate english pages, and the service will be hard to use if they don't know what they search or what they see

Have you thought of a business model?

Are you thinking of this more as entertainment or education?

What's the format, some sort of Wiki with a closed editor group?

I like your idea...it's cool. It's both educational and entertainment especially for kids like you...Kids shoud not just be playing games online but making their time worthwhile while surfing the net.

Your parents should be proud of you Thunderbear (is that you in the picture?)

So when do you intend to put this into business...keep listening to people and your own intuition...eventually they are the keys to succeed especially this things that spark your interest.

Ta tah for now!

how is it going kiddo?

i can see the leaves you gathered are making good sense than playing hide and seek or Ragnarok!

Ask the elders for better business model...you could be the Prince of who's who and get some Juvenile award for the creativity.

Sounds like a good idea, but huge project. You're going to need a lot of human & financial resources.

I like the idea. How about adding more colourful and attractive features to make it children friendly..

Iskandar:

Sir, i ask most of my classmate so far they opined unanimously on anime/cartoon superheroes character's profile =) which i havent thought initially.

Maureen:

Madam, this is educational and certainly for fun. Does it make sense to enjoy my work?

To all:

thanks for all your votes and comment. I am very sorry if it took me a long pause to answer your comments..its enrollment time in my country and i am yet to pick up my next school. I was trying to ask the help of my favorite teacher regarding the business and operational quesiton, but my own parents gave their own share of advise: since this is an internet age, info will not to hard to collect and we just need few paid person to act as editor(s). I believe the project wil be supported by several child friendly sites and kiddie products the way Cartoon network does in territorial coverage. Plus of course the regular subscription parent will certainly nod for their children.

hmmm i guess you need Angel crowd recently posted..if your parents are busy.

james_decides Posted: June 4, 2007, 4:25 am

... it's neat!

above this i dont think it wil survived for long...it wil become a fad, and your contemporaries will find better staff and search engine. Except if you have a back up plan to innovate it. Say a 3D viewing the subject's higlight's and downloanable formatted to your own presentation application (hmmm no need of license office ppt. ).

Do your assingment for now ok kiddo?

It is the first day of school today,

I was excited to informed all my classmates and friends, i noticed they have separate opinions. The girls wanted mostly celebrities to be featured or at least have a complete directories of who is hot whats their upcoming projects, while the boys are mostly into the great athletes and specially their favorite NBA team members.

You see guys... it s a wonderful site coming!

wish me luck and keep your suggestion and comments coming.

PS: Thanks Mr. Jay69 and James_decides

If this can be tied in with a good business model, I am sure this is going to go a long way. Two question's though- what kind of people is it going to cover, and sourcing the right content for the site...

All the best you have my vote....

divine_light Posted: June 4, 2007, 8:12 am

...i dunno how to say htism but you are a real gem!

I myself doesnt have much business acumen in several things but i can sense you are thriving a good market...youth keep on coming and have the same interest while we adults stray in many ways including interest.

i just wish you can promote more on real people and real heroes and icons like for example the Oracle of Omaha: Mr. Warren Buffet

Goodluck!

It could be a winner, but it could take a lot of resources to sort, pick and present the most engaging material.

I'd be concerned about putting my kids on anything like this - Myspace is bad enough as a pedophile's shopping catalog!

Sorry kid, if you are from the Philippines, school have just started. Let your parents or guardian continue this.
You already proved something and stirred some emotion and a lenghty thread in the Forum post.

I adimt your idea is neat. However, there are better ideas at the moment.
Thus i gave my vote for someone i can collaborate.

Godspeed!

Thunderbear, don't let anything deter you. I see this going one of two ways:

1) secure, high quality accurate and consistent content, youth targetted, paid subscription for educational institutions, home schooling families, education professionals

or

2) a community oriented and managed wiki like repository.

This doesn't mean that if you start with number 2) TOTALLY DOABLE, that you couldn't evolve to approach number 1.

Then again you can pass go and go directly to the big solution if you have the support and talent behind you!

Please post me as you progress further with its development.

Summertime

If you identify real people (like Warren Buffet) to showcase, maybe you can get them to contribute an interview and/or help set some interactive activity for educational purposes. Try to present a compelling idea for the specific content section to the "celebrity". They might be honored to contribute in this way. It is probably important to be first in line, as many people will not be interested in a competition between "encyclopedia" companies.

CG_EOL Posted: January 2, 2008, 8:50 am

As much as I agree with with most comments here including Summertime, I guess unmasking real people behind anime charaters and cartoon genius like Akira Toriyama or Joseph Barbera (is he still alive?) would be very much educational than child stuff trivia on this make belief toon character.

Oh by the way with right connections you can get the nod of more celebrities with youth appeal such as my favorite Jacky Chan and Robin Williams who knows they might support this more than you could imagine they can!
