The Idea
since web 2.0 ideas flood the net, everywhere raise similar pages which make the user generated content available. they all function on a similar system, where users can register and post stuff, which is shown then on the main page. key feature is that users can vote for posted stuff. so my idea is, to develop an easy to use content management system specialized for this type of webpage. somewhat blogger.com or wordpress are for blogs. hardware requirements for this are some servers with fast internet connection, a database to hold users and posts, some disk space on the servers (if video content is allowed to post, some disk space more)... development requirements are skills in html and php, perhaps java. money will be earned by advertisement on the site.

Nice, my idea got no good stand here, but I found today a service that does exactly what my idea intended. It's http://www.ning.com/ . It's still Beta, and has already 30.000 Users which created their own sites with this service.
So, I know at least, that the basis of my idea is a very succesful one, even when itself has never been realized.
