Hello!

You've landed in the archive of the Cambrian House community. We've kept some pages here for posterity but the community is no longer active. Now we market the technology that made our early crowdsourcing a success.

Can we help you get to Cambrian House the company? – Come on over.

Cambrian House

Cambrian House is a very interesting idea - crowdsourced software. Their goal is to leverage the wisdom of crowds to both receive as well as filter business ideas, code and creative content.
Ken Yarmosh, Jul 2006

Cambrian House began as a crowdsourcing community using a wisdom of crowds based approach to discover new business and technology ideas. These pages are being kept online as a technology demo to showcase Chaordix™.

Looking to harness the power of your crowd? Find out about Chaordix™ - technology that enables enterprises to get the most out of crowdsourcing.

The Idea

History of the ideas in technique (electronics, airplanes, ...), culture (fashion, food, ...), ... expressed through picture (pictures, movies, cartoons, ...) and text (descriptions, advertisements, ...), ... The global community of people, which know something about it, can bring in what they know about the change in the kind of realisation of the objects, based on new ideas. This platform can also generate new ideas out of the pool of ideas. Maybe the eternal existence of ideas out of ideas is a new idea. Until now the ideas are separated in their specialised categories and there is no platform where all the ideas come together as the leading thing in the progress of human being. On the top of ideas we can put on a vote system to show what the most favourite idea is.

I thought of this idea when I was...

I wrote my new idea #fashion market place like ebay# where I used the expression #ideas for fashion#. I just turned it round and the new idea was born.

Actually almost anything you can think of is based on other ideas. I’m standing on the shoulders of giants recall?

your pitch is hard to read, why not us a bit of bold to highlight some key points... people skim

Sounds like a book.

If it is presented as a website, where does the content come from, and how is the revenue generated?

This too is an old idea which would probably be presented differently were it proposed today. As written, it's pretty thin.

i wish it will be put into a "flash' running in CH as visual link and trivia hyperlink reminder to spark and motivate more CHers in submiting better IDEAS.

Some sort of regular feature like the Queen's Tour.

The content comes from all people who have ideas or knows all about some ideas. We can see the business what is made with the ideas.

A little tough to read, but this sparked a thought: "The global community of people, which know something about it, can bring in what they know about the change in the kind of realisation of the objects, based on new ideas. This platform can also generate new ideas out of the pool of ideas."

It would be wonderful for those in poor nations to share experiences and solutions with each other. Security, shelter, inventions unique to their culture...

As everyone else seems to be, I'm confused by your explanation. Can you (next time... possibly) take time and put some more effort into explaining so that the rest of us understand? This seems like a different idea, and would probably be more interesting with the correct refining.
