The Idea
Team Cambrian with Film Companies to hold regular movie nights where films (just prior to their release) are streamed live to a select group of viewers from around the world over the net. Viewers are selected through regular competitions (pay small entry fee). Invite these viewers to blog on the film to create some hype prior to release. By being the first to blog on a film, users can draw traffic to their blogs. Viewers can chat to each other while film is being played and take notes (e.g., support blogging platforms). This would go great with IM program that translates different languages (Big Hal)

So, essentially a preview screening for the highest bidders? But, why would anyone pay to watch a preview of a film over the net at more than the cost of a ticket to see it in high quality at a cinema?
Bidding was only one option. I think it would work better as a competition. 1 entry to competition is less than price of ticket (could make it quite small). You are right Anagoge, I would not pay more for watching it on the net than seeing it in the cinema, but I would enter a competition for a small cost to get a chance to see a film I was really interested in, and also get the chance to be the first person to blog on it and hence draw traffic to my blog!
Totally would pay more too!! As long as there are limited preview tickets. In fact, I would want a permanent seat to these movie nights. Plus reviewer should be able to give away few free tickets to readers.
This can be applied geographically/ city wise.
Bloggers as critics is a great idea.
Suggestions:
1. Do offline screenings too.
2. For the internet company (CH) to make big money - have these bloggers shift blogs to your (blog) site. Model: Tie-up for screenings, exclusive wallpapers, pics, ringtones, etc. Open space on site for 3 top bloggers from every city. Freedom for each blogger to have his/her own independent opinion.
