The Idea

A website where people are invited to create their real life storyboard. The service would allow picture and graphics uploads, in chronological order with narrations to the pictures and events that unfold over time. Periodically the users could request an mpeg or avi or presentation of their storyboard to send to friends and family or to just review their lifes journey over time. Their personal stories could be kept private or they could allow them to be viewed by anyone for comment or advise, life predictions on events etc. Interesting lives could form the basis of a story line for TV shows or Films. The media industry would be invited to bid to secure TV/Film rights on the individual life stories, generating royalty income for the individuals that have an interesting story life that unfolds! Script writers or Ghost witers could bid for the rights to develop the storyboard into a commercial proposition etc. etc. Commercial bidding could take place over an unfolding time span.

I thought of this idea when I was...

Life:) .. our wish to share .. our need for recollection .. our search for fame .. our need for money :)

I just had a look at dandelife.com and it doesn't really compete with what i have in mind for this idea.

dandelife.com is very text centric and in my opinion rather boring and promotes facts and events rather than an exciting graphic or pictoral lifestory.

My focus would be on a visual storyboard type presentation where the lifestory is presented as frames of a movie where narration, sound and comments or story segments are tagged to the frames and it could be played out like a movie.

Thanks cephus70 i agree with you .. Lets see what others say:)

Also, i don't think we should be too critical of a new idea just because there is possible competition out there .. if google had taken that view then they would never have created their search engine .. there were lots of search engines in the market before they started their development!

i like the basic idea, and the storyboard image worked well for me. I imagined a narrated still shots slide show of someone's life. Wouldnt it take years to generate a life storyboard that was of any interest? How is it funded in the meantime? Wouldnt it be better to conceptualize it as a still-shots documentary, documenting a small portion of someone's life. A still shot documentary could be produced much quicker and with a specific purpose in mind (e.g., documenting a travel experience).

I reckon still shots + narration + soundtrack + some text elements would look cool

Isn't this just a blog site?

Alexxx .. nothing like a blog site if you read my comment date July 19 .. "My focus would be on a visual storyboard type presentation where the lifestory is presented as frames of a movie where narration, sound and comments or story segments are tagged to the frames and it could be played out like a movie"
