Cambrian House

Cambrianhouse has inspired me to become more professional and study a whole lot of new things, so now I am a lot more skilled and I think I may have landed a killer job at Electronic Arts, probably thanks to the mention of Gwabs
Cory Ross

Cambrian House began as a crowdsourcing community using a wisdom of crowds based approach to discover new business and technology ideas. These pages are being kept online as a technology demo to showcase Chaordix™.

Looking to harness the power of your crowd? Find out about Chaordix™ - technology that enables enterprises to get the most out of crowdsourcing.

The Idea

my situation goes some way towards explaining my idea ... an independent songwriter ~ producing demos of songs that are available as downloads online ...faced with the usual problems of how does one let people hear the music yet gain income from work produced ? an encrypted MP3 radio station / download stop , that i can advertise at gigs and whatnot , a very powerful distribution tool if i submit iTunes et al., i am 'just another unsigned act' (up against trad. label's advertising might) demeaning my work (this is not the 1970's) my idea (see a sketch template at http://www.greencheese.biz) .. is 'pay-for-it' podcasting ~ visitors listen for nothing , download MP3 by paying the artist direct ... i used wordpress to generate rss ,a free flash 'playa' (adapted to remove the MP3 address) and a limited MP3 download handler (easybe.com) .. cambrian .. help me to consolidate it ? the product's user can drop in any stylesheet , automatically publish music/podcasts and get paid direct !

I thought of this idea when I was...

trying to build one for myself !! (i'm stuck .. when it comes to building a database field that will connect the blogging tool to the product id in the shop ....)

Change it to an online radiostation with an instant "I want to buy that song transaction handler" Profits made by percentage of transactions & ads.

that's pretty much what i mean, Joel

the more features (comments , reviews , gig dates , photo album , newsletter ) the better , i guess , really .. although (personally) i've been wary of over complicating ~ i'm not a web designer ...

thinks ... oscommerce meets digital media .. this could possibly be a project that has more modules added to it over time ... ? if that's the way it works ...

It looks like your going down hill (I voted for you). I was wondering if you would look over my idea and consider giving me some support. Search for "P2P TV", I believe it to be an extremely lucurative idea that is both legal and ethical.

People are always wanting something new thats why I believe lesser known artists are so important giving an artist the ability to promote themselves was an idea I submitted that was inspired by yours its not in good shape either. My personal belief is that music is to hard to reign in so vocal artists need to sell themselves and persona's and turn their music into advertisement. By sell themselves I mean fan clubs, merchandise, videos (commercials via P2P TV ads) & performances.

MySpace and Snocap will take a small, undisclosed share of any payment
