The Idea

Name is still under construction

This is a game about aliens and humans wanting the same planet. Its an massive multiplayer online First Person shooter with RTS elements in it. If you dont know what I mean, look at the game tremulous.

Every base has 3 big standart fortresses.. everything can be destroyed. To destroy the main fortress you need to develop a special weapon, it takes months to make it.

Aliens:
Aliens have egg layers, monsters lay eggs. When an alien dies he can respawn from an egg (destroying the egg) but the egg must be from that kind of monster. Aliens have builders too.. they make walls, turrets and all kind of stuffs, using their slime and some resource from a mother alien. So egg layers lay egga and people can choose which monster they are going to respawn. Wall climbing monster, really strong monsters, little monsters, monsters that take over humans. They will now try to take over the human bases ( You can make additional basis over the map ) And they develop a special weapon needing 2 resources rfom the 2 human sub bases and 2 weeks to make it, the builders have to use their spit and resources from the mother alien too. When its made they can blow up their main base (not destroying everything only the main things ) The aliens dragg human corpses to their mother alien so they get resources from it.

Alien buildings:

Eggs ( A special egg for every monster )
Mother alien,
alien wall,
alien turret.

Alien units:

Egg layer
Builder
-20 more monsters including a wall climbing mosnter, a monster that can take over a human, a normal monster, a very strong monster.

Alien weapons:
Aliens do not use weapons.

Humans:
Humans use heavy weapons. They have construction weapons, using supplies they get every 10mins, they can make cloning pods and teleports.. the cloning pods can make up to 10 players a minute. The humans get their resources by mining crystals and bringing them back. Its dangerous though cause aliens guard it. When the humans bring back an alien body they can use it it develop their weapons further. Standard weapons are the assault rifle, plasma rifle, knife, pistol. The humans can develop a special weapon to destroy their main base too. They need to use ALL the supplies from the supply ship, and they need 2 resources from the alien 2 sub bases.

Human Buildings:
Turret,
A building with guns, (supplies needed for guns, + 5000 standard weapons every supply ship )
A building with armor ( suppleis needed, +5000 standard armor every supply ship )
A reactor ( Elektricity )
Teleports,
Cloning pods.

Human units:

Soldier, starting with assault rifle and knife.
Medic, starting with pistol, knife
Engineer, starting with pistol, knife

Human weapons:

Standard weapons:

Assault rifle,
Shotgun,
Knife,
pistol,
construction weapon.

Special weapons:

elektric saw,
Acid Gun,
Gatlin Gun,
Grenade Launcher,
Flamethrower,
All-in-one Rifle. (containing flamethrower, assault rifle, grenade launcher.)

Another alien race:

Unknown

You do a good job being thorough - so you didn't just post a suggestion for yet another MMORPG FPS. I believe these games require whole teams of programmers, possibly too large to be assembled efficiently on CH and paid with RP's.

The characters left didnt go down! Anyway this game would be cool and I got really much more things to make it different from other mmorpgs ( As its unique to have an MMORPG with FPS and RTS with vehicles and the 10 deaths = 1$ etc etc. ) Anyway this idea still under construction

Going to add 2 new races later, worms and wasp like creature, Worm multiplies every 2min ( so somebody can respawn ) so it will be like 50 -> 100 -> 200 -> 400 they live underground ( under the map ) they can dig, the whole map is made with blocks lets say 2000 blocks so if a worms diggs one block will be removed! The worm gets stronger every 15mins (more health, faster, armor, bigger) The wasp like have a Queen for every 100 wasp like creature the queen makes 50 respawn every 1min They get stronger by hurting a creature with a needle, ground aliens for acid(Poison powers, green stripes, the more aliens you hurt the stronger you get), humans for blood (Bigger, more health orange like stripes, the more humans you hurt the stronger you get) and if they hurt worms they get poisoned and they will die over time (Unless you are stronger)

I've purchased 2 Microsoft-Press books on massively multiplayer online gaming. As I'd assumed before reading thru them, that stuff is insanely deep, and I think you need to investigate by doing.

There are open source MMORG game engines available. Its not easy to get this stuff going, but its possible to either investigate what is involved then raise funding for building (or leasing) a commercial engine. Or develop your game with an open source engine.

Why don't you keep going, set it up as a CH business and use this as your own learning experience in the game world?

Of course I can try it but I can use all the help. If someone can give a link to an engine that is free and tutorials for scripting, then I will try to make the best of it
