Doing the dishes can get repetitive with putting dishes away and loading them. My idea involves creating a new type of dishwasher. One that allows for a dishwasher and then next to it a place to store the dishes in the washing trays.as the dishes are cleaned and then dried they get switched over with new trays (automatically, preferably with magic). The clean dishes go into a storage area next to the dishwasher where the dishes can then be used and as they get used we put them back in the dish washer in the new trays. my idea would allow for a compartment to store the dishes saving time from having to put them away. This way you never have to put any of your dishes away, you just use them and put them back in the washer.
i was cleaning dishes and thought.... this could be easier.
I like the part "with magic"...
Why not invent self-cleaning cups, forks, knives, spoons, etc. that materialise once you need them.
No need for a cupboard or a dishwasher...

How about edible ware altogether? you can eat away the plate and the spoon too... :-)
More on a serious note this is a nice tip, not an idea
Most industrial dishwashers already work on a similar principle; dishes are stacked in trays that can be interchangeably loaded into the machine itself, allowing one set of trays to be emptied and reloaded while the dishwasher is working.
"(automatically, preferably with magic)"...lol... classic...
Ok, but my question is, how does this avoid loading and unloading tasks?... Some one still has to load the trays with dishes and put them away. You still have to do this and now you have made the task more complicated by having to move a potentially heavy tray.
BTW... since you are planning to harness the power of "magic" just have your food hover and your liquids hold a shape but not get you wet. :)
discounting the magic part, I see exactly what you're getting at. It's a good idea with one problem - in a dishwasher the items are held in such a way that there is space between them to allow the water to wash them. This means that they take up much more room than if they were stacked in a storage shelf.
Your idea would work for people who have plenty of storage space in their kitchens.
The sanitizers they use at restaurants do this kind of already. They have big trays that you put all the dishes in, then pull the whole tray out when they are sanitized...something like that?
MIT has a dish washer/maker that simply makes a new plate, bowl, cup, ect.. from your old plates using a special material.
I love this idea, but think it needs a little more work. If it was like an industrial dishwasher that you could roll out the trays onto a dolly then roll the dolly into a tall cupboard... This would work for many North American kitchens but most of the rest of the world would not have the space.
Keep developing your concept!
