It's free! Like love in the sixties!
This will be a location where a family could share information and communicate about different things. Some things that can be in there: 1. Shared phone lists (what is the dentist"s number again?) 2. Shared calendar (with special care to Kids activities) 3. Simple budgeting 4. Message board 5. Event planning area 6. Shopping lists 7. Links to local kids activities and places From a company stand point, the users will be a targeted group that can be offered various products (ads) based on their location in the site; for-instance, when updating a shopping list the site will show local grocery stores and maybe price compressions.
I think about it almost everyday when my wife calls me at work and asks for a phone number, or when we have so syncronize five calls just to figure out who is picking up who and when.
Could be combined with my idea for a personal/family website - have private areas for family internal stuff and public pages for sharing with friends.
