A java applet imap client with SSL/TLS that loads straight in the browser. Market it to universities and other business that need a no hassle webmail app. I haven't found anything like this in google. I've found entire bloated java email programs, but this is not what this should be. It should load quickly <500k (and be stored in the cache), should be fast for mobile and dialup users. I'm thinking gmail but all in java, runs on off your browser and java_vm juice provided by your CPU.
Vanderbilt University can't seem to make a proper webmail client. For example if you're not on winblows and try to access your email through it, it will often timeout without warning and kick you out.
