The Idea

An encyclopedia website featuring bands. Simple. There are a few general ways to categorize music; genre, time period in which the group formed, ets. People can look up all the information they want of the bands, including band members, band bio, and the official website of the band.

I thought of this idea when I was...

looking for information about a band which couldn't be found on their website.

Online encyclopedias already have information regarding most artists.
Visit wikipedia.org and look up any artist.
Is this similar to what you are getting at?
