Cambrian House

Cambrian House is a very interesting idea - crowdsourced software. Their goal is to leverage the wisdom of crowds to both receive as well as filter business ideas, code and creative content.
Ken Yarmosh, Jul 2006

Cambrian House began as a crowdsourcing community using a wisdom of crowds based approach to discover new business and technology ideas. These pages are being kept online as a technology demo to showcase Chaordix™.

Looking to harness the power of your crowd? Find out about Chaordix™ - technology that enables enterprises to get the most out of crowdsourcing.

The Idea

I love my Dashboard Widgets on my Mac. But I know that, as a Mac user, I'm in the minority. It would be nice to have something like Dashboard integrated into Firefox or other web browsers. You could pick and choose which widgets you want to keep in your dashboard, ranging from the functional (calculators or currency converters) to the fun (electronic pets or insult generators).

I thought of this idea when I was...

I just updated to the newest version of MacOSX and I've finally been able to play with all of the widgets in Dashboard.

I think Yahoo has this already... search yahoo widgets. They have a huge gallery of widgets.
