The Idea

My Idea is to form a Consulting Team in order to meet the needs of existing clients who are both Multinational, and Publically traded Companies.

The Consulting Team will offer online Cultural advice, Translation services', Website consultation, website design, website translation, marketing assistance, distribution of multi lingual press releases , and basically endeavour by all legal means available to make the client company a household name in countries where it is already established and or has a foothold, and or in countries where members the team can assist it in gaining entrance to.

Many of the ideas offered on this site could also be of interest to the Client companies, perhaps to licence etc ? however this is a discussion for later.

Target countries, for the present are: China, Vietnam, Malayasia, Thailand, India, Russia and the C.I.S. Arabia, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia.
The clients are either established or have footholds in all of the above countries.
Most of these countries have very different cultures and Languages.

This is a multi national educated community, it has the talents in house in order to assist the team in respecting, understanding and translating both the Team's and its client ideas and concepts correctly.

Payment : The client companies have relationships with Lawyers accountants and Banks in Switzerland, Luxembourg, The Bahamas, Singapore and Hong Kong. Payment vehicles, escrow accounts and contracts can be established quickly in all of the above, and tailored to meet the requirements of individual International Team members.

The team will have to designate a trusted Team leader/paymaster, who will sign consulting contracts with the clients and distribute the proceeds.
It will aslo be necessary to sign confidentiality and non disclosure agreements with the clients, as it may be necessary for members of the team to have access to proprietary technologies, and information of a confidential and "Insider"nature.

The first client company is involved in the Enviromental business, it is either established or in the process of negotiating contracts in all of the above mentioned countries. The sales potential is for thousands of units in each country, each unit costs equivelant US$30 million.

Payment proposal to the consulting team:

The Client company has three potential ways of making money.

a) Sales of its units.

The client is willing to contract to pay a commission of 3% on any sale (US$0.9 million)which can be attributed to the Consulting group.

b) Ongoing 30 year maintenance and support contracts.

The client is willing to share this with consulting group( method to be discussed)

c) Increase in its publically traded share price.

The client is willing to put a block of its publically traded shares in escrow, in order to cover consultants expences. These shares
can either be sold at an agreed time and the proceeds distributed on an agreed formula to the consultants, or the shares distributed.

The value of the shares will increase if the consultants work well, if not expences are covered, and we will all have added a bit to our education.

(Share issuance for consulting services'will be in accordance with current SEC regulations) .

All financial transactions, and payments shall comply with International money Laundering regulations, and business best practices'. All contracts between the Consulting team and the clients will be reflected in the clients annual audited accounts filings.

From my side I am ready to start, the only thing missing is the team, a team leader and paymaster.

Any suggestions, ideas, and or volunteers shall be appreciated.

I thought of this idea when I was...

Necessity is the mother of most inspiration, including the above.

Not Bad!...In a world-wide context in which the English language tends to impose itself as an unquestionable lingua franca in the business world, the multilingual strategy like that the British government promoted on a large scale, in close cooperation with business organisations and centres for linguistic services, gives us considerable food for a number reasons, as much for its approach as for the models of organisation adopted.

How can we/I help?

CharonV Posted: September 8, 2007, 12:25 pm

Thank you for responding.

Some of the areas where I seek help, are as follows:

1. The cultures, languages, religions, upbringing etc of most of clients are different than mine.

In order for me to do business in these various countries,

a) I must have access to local advise, so that all of my clients dealings comply with their local laws, religion, and culture etc.

b) I must be able to present my clients business concepts to them in a language which they completely understand. (in most cases this is the vernacular and not English)

c) My translator must be able to fully understand my clients business concept in English and then translate into the vernacular. This is a primary reason for choosing this site. It has an educated international community who are fluent in technical English, and I assume most are capable of translating into their native language.

2. I am of an older generation than most of you. I don't have the computer nor new generation marketing skills of anyone here.

Most marketing organizations with whom I am familiar, are closer to my generation than to yours, and in my opinion, just like me, they are getting a bit rusty. I feel that a motivated team from here may do a better job.

The team should have modern internet marketing skills, and members who can both communicate and market our ideas via the net in German, Russian, Spanish,French, Portugese, Mandarin Chinese, Malay, Thai, Arabic, Vietnamise, for a start. Basically make our client a household name.

My ability is to bring the clients, the funding, the projects.

I need the team.

Nice idea. I am curious as to why you left out Japan and USA. Seems like you could make a good deal of money in those countries as well.

Thank you for your comment.

In answer to your question:

My Clients have their machinery manufactured in China. Each plant is built to the purchaser's specifications and is then shipped and assembled by Chinese staff, assembly takes about 8 weeks and requires about 30 specialised workers, and the turnkey plant costs around US$30million.

Purchasers normally sign on for 30 year maintenance contracts which are handled also by the Chinese manufacturer.

As you are aware acquiring a USA work visa is very difficult, acquiring work visa's for 30 Chinese technicians(per plant), would be a lengthy process and almost impossible.

Manufacturing costs in the USA would cost 3/4 times more.

The populations of China, India, Indonesia, Africa are equal to around 2/3 of the Worlds population.

The purchasers of this technology are either municipalities or large corporations who need to reduce their carbon footprint.

Our business plan is.

a) We have for the moment built a better "mousetrap" The market potential is huge. We have around a 2/3 year window of opportunity before competitors appear on the horizon ?

We have saturate the market ASAP.

b) China has the manufacturing capabilities to meet with the logistics of volume sales, and an abundance of highly trained technicians available for assembly and maintenance.

c) It is easy to get short term visas in our target countries, for Chinese assembly technicians.

"Go with the Flow"

Up until now our marketing has been by "word of mouth" the clients (local governments) came to us., from all of the above countries. We have established from this that access to the above countries is welcomed by their governments.

So far we have not been approached by Japan, like the USA we would love to be invited.

That is why we want to assemble a team which will maximize this opportunity.

Sounds like a good, well-thought-out idea. I think the biggest problem is IP protection though - once you start dealing with the big corporations and the stakes become higher, NDAs become less valuable...

Still, good luck with it all!

Thank you for the comment.

I understand your concerns with regards to Intellectual Property rights
And Non Disclosure Agreements, and agree with your analysis.

In this instance I am not trying to develop a business which I will sell on.
I an trying to put together a team of young talent, such as is found on this site. The intended purpose of this exercise is to develop and execute new ideas for promoting Green Technologies and Education.

I am willing to fund this project, and contract my client companies to share any profits accrued with the team.

I am trying to propose what I consider to be a Win Win Scenario.

a) The team get compensated for their work, a) They client company grows. c) The team participate in the profits if any. d) The team get to
test their theories in the real world, playing with real marbles. e) I get
my idea tested.

If it works: a) I make a lot of money c) everybody makes a lot of money.
c) The team can either as a team or individually share the I P Rights.

If it fails: a) The team get compensated for time. b) The Team get to test their indivudal theories. c) I get an expensive education.

Neat idea. I like it. I'm a grad from international trade and like your idea. I might be able to help. If you can break the process down into steps, that would be helpfull for me to see where your going with this. Thank you

Hi, Thanks for the response.

a) Our Clients are multinational public companies.

b) The client companies already have large annual advertising / promotion budgets.

c) We are looking to develop new concepts/ideas with regards to prompting/advertising our products.

d) In order not to interfere with the creativity process, we would wish to limit our input to the minimum.

e) We have discovered a pool of talent on this site.

c) We are at least a generation older than the average person on this site.

d) Our wish is to find an " intermediary" that is a person/group to whom we can communicate our ideas in non technical english, that person should be technically competent enough to translate these concepts to technically minded people/ and more importantly translate back to us.
A huge amount of business is NOT being done on account of the inability
to COMMUNICATE. Perhaps we should bring back Napoleon, The French had this same problem 200 years ago Lol ?

Basically the idea is to find someone on this site with whom we can communicate' in what we consider to be the Queens English. We wish to share our ideas with this person/group, then have the group execute our ideas.

A current situation is that one of our client's "Green Technologies" has been embraced by country X. The client wishes to obtain maximum benefit from this endorsement, i.e. with regards to Share price, additional business etc etc.

This event will be announced shortly on the normal newswires, how dow we maximise this ?

Great idea; what about spanish speaking Countries?

CharonV
CharonV Posted: October 19, 2007, 1:58 am

Hi,

We have just recently commenced negotiations in Mexico, other than that we are not properly introduced into the Spanish speaking world.

COMMUNICATION is our main problem, and is the main reason for us seeking help at this site. It is very difficult to find people who are totally bi-lingual in scientific and technical languages.

Our technologies are very high spec and cutting edge. Software, operational manuals etc; have to be translated, complex scientific and technical concepts have to be be explained to local enviromental agencies and scientists. These same concepts have then to be presented to the general voting public in laymans language.

This is a huge project, we need help, new ideas etc. We would love to be more active in the Spanish speaking world. We must however complete the groundwork first.

Hello Charon V,

Very nice idea and business concept. Any interest in Brazil? With the Amazon there, "green ideas" would be welcomed. I'm a Brazilian who's been living in the US for 10+ yrs. I've also have a sister (Brazilian) at Chicago based Leo Burnett. She would be a great source for this project. Please let me know what you think!

CharonV Posted: March 13, 2008, 2:53 pm

Hi Leo C,

Yes we are currently in discussions in Brazil, to convert "Sugar Bagasse"
into Green Energy, thereby also generating Carbon Credits in accordance with the Kyoto Protocol.

We would love to hear from interested parties.

Quote:"“Carbon Credit” means a unit issued pursuant to the Kyoto Protocol as well as all other relevant International Rules and represents a GHG Reduction of one metric tonne of Carbon Dioxide Equivalent, calculated in accordance with the International Rules. “International Rules” means the UNFCCC, the Kyoto Protocol, the Marrakesh Accords, decisions of the CDM Executive Board, decisions of the COP/MOP and any successor or supplementary international agreements or decisions, as amended from time to time."

I love this idea! Most companies would love to have this training/service/support easily and accessibly outsourced.
Count me in. :o)
