The Elevator Pitch

For young urban modernists who love great brands the SOJU product range is a modern sex brand that is borne of great product and marketing design. Unlike most of the tacky and tawdry stuff on the market today our product compliments the user with aspirational value.

The Idea

Imagine if Apple designed a vibrator. Take that concept and expand it into a complete consumer brand.

SOJU is it, whereby we:
- live to WOW the customer with GREAT DESIGN
- position for the upper-middle market
- target trendsetting 20-somethings
- build consumer relationships through mainstream retailers and directly online, and eventually through our own branded stores

We are starting with vibrators, and will extend into Bath/Body, Apparel, media, and décor. The long term plan includes a very contemporary approach to brick and mortar retail - again, think of Apple. We are propelled by one central theme: consumers crave great design wrapped in aspirational value. We are positioned to win as Nordstrom, Macy's and Target replace the creepy XXX shop as the venues to buy products for sensual pleasure.

I thought of this idea when I was...

While at Frog Design in San Francisco, a few of us looked at various consumer categories that were due for "re-invention".

The adult products business seemed so obviously in need. So few people feel good about buying adult products. Despite the deterrants, it's still a huge business! We imagined what aspirational design and marketing could do...
