The Idea

I am proposing a gambling website with peer to peer challenges on simple FUN games that ensure no cheating possibility (not chess for example). The software will feature different tables and will look very closely to a poker software (pokerstars for example). As an example, one "heads-up" table can feature "Rock Paper Sissors" (A very popular game right now; competitions are featured on TSN). This game will be fun and corresponds to the gambler"s mindset who will try to create a strategy to predict his opponent"s next move. Here is a list of other games I propose (the games cannot be games like Tetris which are based on "gamer skills", websites of this kind have been attempted and fail because of a failure to understand gambling psychology): -Rock Paper Sissors -Monopoly derivative (simplified) -Different card games: Asshole, War, etc. -Other games which are simple to program and involve preferably high variance and "strategy building"

I thought of this idea when I was...

The expansion of gambling on the internet (peer to peer gaming such as poker)

People love to gamble on stuff... that's for sure. There are obvious legal issues here but it could be possible if off-shore. Not a good time to be starting a gambling outfit with regulations changing, however.

Hello RiskyBiznatch,

The website can be run overseas or simply in Canada. The legal issues is not something I would worry about, as long the owner doesn't venture in the states it's all good. On top of that if this idea is to come to fruition, the time it is developped the US will most probably have regulations in place since they are losing too much money.

I would just like to add that profit will be generated through rake just like Poker Websites. On every Rock Paper Sissor hand a % will be taken on the bet amount up to a maximum.

People like games in which they are not forced to remain: Play 1 hand and leave and come back later. So boardgames need to very simplified and allow the user to leave whenever he wishes.

The website will also ask the community what card games they would like to gamble on. See the most popular requests and then just program the rules.
