The Cambrian House Crew
Cambrian House is a very interesting idea - crowdsourced software. Their goal is to leverage the wisdom of crowds to both receive as well as filter business ideas, code and creative content.Ken Yarmosh, Jul 2006
Cambrian House began as a crowdsourcing community using a wisdom of crowds based approach to discover new business and technology ideas. These pages are being kept online as a technology demo to showcase Chaordix™.

Voting begins shortly...
It's a simple idea: A site with user created content that focuses on products, services and their providers.
There would be 3 different subjects:
COMPANIES
-Environmental rating
-General rating
-products
-contact info
-locations
-countries
-articles
-homepage
-owners
PRODUCT/SERVICE
-product/service category
-company
-other products by the same company
-rating
-environmental rating
-return policy
-recall
CEO/Owner/Director
-name
-other committees they're on
-other boards they're on
-articles
-rating
-morality rating
The site would also need these virtues:
-neutrality above all
-comprehensive, but simple
-easy navigation
The site would empower the consumer by giving them a say on what the industry is up to. It would provide an open nexus for people to rate, compare, learn, and find sources.
If a site like this could get enough participation, it would become the standard resource for people looking for products/services. It would also give businesses a run for their money.
