A music distribution platform that features sophisticated recommendation features. From the website you point it to a folder on your hard drive and it will analyze all of your MP3 music titles and recommend music for you to purchase. The recommendations will be similar to Amazon style recommendations and match you with other people who have similar music titles, and recommend the titles they have but you don't . The site would also have a crowdsourced "new music" list where the crowd would vote for their favorites -- however there would be a twist: your "crowd" would not be all the users of the site, but only a subset who was determined to have similar music tastes as you. The site would either be monetized by selling the recommended music directly to the users, or if that is too large of a project, it could leverage an existing music distribution site and act as an affiliate, receiving a percentage of every sale.
... bored of my current music collection.
It all exists already.
The only new idea you have is that it can recognize songs from your disk instead of you having to rate them all. That might be pretty dificult to implement.
Umpteen ideas on CH have already suggested this (including one by me)
