Can we help you get to Cambrian House the company? – Come on over.

The Idea

Writely, Google Spreadsheets, 37signals and others know something. They know that people want to use comet and ajax web applications. There seems to be one missing, a web equivalent of Photoshop.

I thought of this idea when I was...

I want to make a quick edit of an image or I need to convert to a different type and I had to download a trial version of Photoshop.

http://pxn8.com/ and http://snipshot.com/ have something like that; they doens't have all the Photoshop function, but you can convert!
I also had an idea like this before, but for a online paint aplication. (http://www.cambrianhouse.com/idea-explorer/idea-promoter/ideas-id/8g9V7se/)

Conclusion: Like your idea; it already has been done, but if you think about some new functions, you can make your idea unique.

What about a site that allows you to create Vector art online? I don't know of where that is being done.
