The Idea

I dont know if they have this already but what about e-greetings for cell phones? Animated and non-animated.It would be much nicer than just receiving a text message!!

I thought of this idea when I was...

Recently receiving an e-greeting for my birthday.

Think you'd need a Java Applet on the cellphone to receive the multimedia content, which would be tough to accomplish for a new message recepient (as opposed to Flash on a browser). Carriers want you to go thru them for easy install of Java apps.

Of course many carriers have existing infrastructure for sending multimedia to clients, but the mechanisms will be different for each carrier, and the carriers will want a cut. Basically it is a play which can be made by telcos but no one else.
