For a small fee customers can sign up to a site where they can upload damaged photos and get them repaired(photoshopped) This will be done by other users. Users earn points by fixing the photos, the more complex the task the more points are assigned to it. The more points earned that month the greater the users share of the profit. There could be a ranking and prize system to encourage people.
bored on the tube.
I heard about people doing this for Katrina victims that had water damaged photos, if it hasn't been done it sounds like a go for sure.
Could even be tied into classroom activities --
Middle School, high school, and college students who are taking graphic design classes, and learning the ropes of photoshop --
could help others out, and earn a few bucks while doing so.
Bravo!
I think this is a great idea, and would be pretty useful.
I could see it being extended to include photo retouching on just plain old "bad photos" done by people who didn't know what they were doing, but had a fundamentally good shot.
I can see how this idea would prove useful. However, I doubt there are that many people who are in desperate need of having their photos repaired. I don't doubt that there's a market for this, but I'm unsure whether the market is big enough to warrant spending the cash to get such a site up and running.
If multiple people work on the same image, the requester could perhaps view a sample (scaled down & watermarked) of each users work then pick which he/she thinks is the best.
Good idea. It's the sort of thing where you could a lot of business very quickly with a lot of small transactions. Could possibly integrate with flickr.com, and/or give the option to send hardcopy prints to the customer (via Kodak for example). +1 from me :-)
But it can actually be just a part of grander scheme: Pimp my Photo. ;)
You have people posting photos, you have other people doctoring them in different ways.
like Flickr + worth1000.com
