The Elevator Pitch

For physicians and surgeons who require an immediate consult with another physician or surgeon the SMS Doc2Doc Consult is a service that answers the immediate question regarding diagnosis or treatment. Unlike traditonal processes of diagnosis and treatment or second opinions our product allows seamless transfer of knowledge to the healthcare savvy and informed patient.

The Idea

Physicians and surgeons need to have "instant" answers when recommending a course of treatment. While a rigorous series of tests will be done in any case, there are questions that ultimately arise that require an "immediate" answer. The SMS Doc2Doc consult service allows any doctor who has signed on for their free subscription to access or answer specific or a wide range of questions - consults can be limited to zip codes or other geographic ranges or expanded out to the world. Participating physicians and surgeons earn credits that can be used towards the selection of a set of medically relevant items, online continuing education courses, or access to medical journals or national/international congresses.
