For all people who think of their death, the e-death is a application that make sure that all the persons friends get notified when the real funeral take place, but also the virtual. Unlike facebook or myspace where the profile will be deleted our product offer people around the world a virtual place, where people can make contributions to a online graveyard idependent from time and place..
If a person dies, my application should notify all people in the persons social networks, and all e-mail addresses added in a “death” list. Further more it would be possible for people to send messages or gifts to a virtual graveyard.
I know that facebook deletes an account if someone dies, but why not keep the person in a virtual environment, that are accessible for everyone.
This is a great idea.
There is an episode of My Name is Earl, and a character dies. They hold a funeral for him, but they can't find anybody to invite. This is because all his friends were via the internet!
With your idea, you should be able to choose who is notified, and who gets invites to your funeral etc.
