The Idea

A simple plug-in for MS Outlook and/or other popular email clients, that allows the user to at the click of a button send a "Thank You" reply to a received message and delete the thank you reply from the Sent Folder.

As an option, the user might configure the plug-in to include their signature in each Thank You message sent.

The plug-in would not only save time but save email storage space.

I thought of this idea when I was...

I am not sure how many email replies I send a week at work that simply say thank-you and because I am not terribly good at managing my Sent items folder, it must be full of such messages.

Microsoft Outlook and most E-mail Client Software will already do this for you semi-automatically with a few clicks to set it up...........

If you put a unique marker in the SUBJECT LINE of an e-mail after you have read it, you then set up a RULE that says you reply with a THANKYOU MESSAGE. Bring up your RULE LIST after you have read all your mails and click RUN RULE and all the mails you have marked will receive a preformatted THANKYOU MESSAGE.

Having a WIDGET to do this at a simple press of a button (as per your idea) might be a whole lot easier. You just need to write the Thankyou Template for the Widget to use.
