The idea behind this is to give people access to media that provides them with training BEFORE they enter a new type of job. This would allow people to not only score at their interviews by knowing a lot about the specifics of the industry, but also to get the boost they need to help them start a new job or career. The media would cover all types of work, including low-income jobs. Believe it or not, the majority of people without jobs are looking to get low-income jobs but don't have the training to go anywhere worth working. Whether they are new to the job market, can't find a job, or just want something they'll like, this will help them. Previously, people had to pay expensive fees to go to specific schools to learn about even typical jobs, but now, they can train at home for a fraction of the cost with this media. The medium would probably either be through a website with training videos and texts or a DVD collection of training videos. Never be without work again!
This was me and my friends' big idea that we thought would be great, but I never really thought about the possibility of it becoming a reality until I found this website. I know countless people that would buy this sort of thing to empower them with the knowledge they need to always be in-demand by employers. This would give them the security of knowing they won't go jobless, and would allow them to much more easily get a job they'll like, instead of being forced to work a job they dislike.
count me in! blue collar and tech jobs!
Good Idea..but
Who pays for this... the low income people?
Good idea.
I think the employer might consider to pay this.
1. they can reduce a bit of training facility after they employed.
2. they make sure candidate are pretty sure what they going to do , at least certain expectation. but not after bunch of afford being done (HR , admin work) and end up employee quit after get the 'feeling' of that job.
from employer prospect:
this is nice for them to get an idea before they start to work and 'price' themselve for this function of work during the application which making more sense.
Since many employer tend to telling the beauty of the job (well, i don't mean lie, but maybe they just left out) but somehow pretty hard for employee to 'imaging' what is that all about.
