Hello!

You've landed in the archive of the Cambrian House community. We've kept some pages here for posterity but the community is no longer active. Now we market the technology that made our early crowdsourcing a success.

Can we help you get to Cambrian House the company? – Come on over.

Are you seeking crowdsourcing technology? – Check out Chaordix by Cambrian House.

Cambrian House

Crowdsourcing represents the act of a company or institution taking a function once performed by employees and outsourcing it to an undefined (and generally large) network of people in the form of an open call.
Jeff Howe, Jun 2006

Cambrian House began as a crowdsourcing community using a wisdom of crowds based approach to discover new business and technology ideas. These pages are being kept online as a technology demo to showcase Chaordix™.

Looking to harness the power of your crowd? Find out about Chaordix™ - technology that enables enterprises to get the most out of crowdsourcing.

The Idea

Ambitious and grandiose project to fully and completely replace the worlds nation-state fiat currencies with a fully distributed (decentralised), peer-to-peer Gift Economy. Probably a desktop application to create and share a self-managed profile/resume/bio that would be PGP-type encrypted, and contain a database of all your needs AND Gifts offered. Gifts offered/needed would include physical goods/products, Action/Services, Pure Knowledge/Information and "Spirit" (caring). A reputation/rating part of the software/database would have to be writable by the peer/network but absolutely unaccessable to the personal user (to prevent potential abuse).

I thought of this idea when I was...

Reading various books on global economic warfare exposed by enlightened futurists, and increasingly frustrated by the apparency of scarce dollars, created out of nothing at interest essentially making the rich richer and poor poorer.

You're woefully unaware of the world economy. :P
