The Elevator Pitch

For anyone who needs to be notified the notify me is a software that notifies you for what ever you need to be updated on. Unlike single notification software our product notifies you on what ever you want..

The Idea

Notify me is a simple yet powerful application. The idea could be setup as stand alone software on your desktop or inside a web page.

Notify me will notify you of any changes you would need to know. Has someone sent me an email. Did someone post something on myspace. It's time to go to the dentiste. In all in one notification center. The programming would be modular and plug ins could be added simply, like facebook applications for facebook.

I thought of this idea when I was...

Having to monitor all kind of tools and apps to know hat was going on.

I think you can find almost all these services in netvibes.
http://www.netvibes.com

i like your thought ...but then wont the place be too cluttered ...you are talkin about too many information out here

Actually http://www.netvibes.com is way to complicated.
I was thinking of something simple. Just a notification and not a resume or all the info.
Just a flag that would indicate something new. Like outlook shows you have new mail in the taskbar but in a small UI.

Hmmm... I would suggest releasing this as an extension/plug-in to web browsers. With a browser extension, people wouldn't have to surf to a specific site. For an example of what I am talking about google "Gmail Notifier"

Like I proposed in the idea.
It could be a web app (or browser plug in) or a desktop app

This is a really good idea! Why is it getting so many down votes? Can anyone who voted this down provide an explanation as to why they voted that way?

Netvibes complicated? Well not for me :-).
Still there is a lot potential in your idea. I would like to see it working.

What I meant was that I want a simpler UI then Netvibes.
As simple as google, then you can add bells to it.

One stop shopping sounds good.

I would like the notices to be categorized in 2 different ways: date / time and source. So all my CH notices would be in one place on the "Source" view, but they would be scattered around according to when they were received, on the "Date / Time" view.

A simpler user-interface then netvibes seems a difficult one.

What I mean, they have such a good ecosystem and they improve at the speed of light. The competition is fierce in this field!
