Hello!

You've landed in the archive of the Cambrian House community. We've kept some pages here for posterity but the community is no longer active. Now we market the technology that made our early crowdsourcing a success.

Can we help you get to Cambrian House the company? – Come on over.

Are you seeking crowdsourcing technology? – Check out Chaordix by Cambrian House.

Thanks for dropping by

If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astonish ourselves.

The Idea

Successful software isn"t the realization of just one idea, but a synergy of many tightly coupled ideas. Feature-warz is an extension of idea-warz intended to flesh out software designs. And, just like idea-warz, good suggestions would be rewarded with royalty points -- say ten for every feature idea that is actually implemented. An analyst would be assigned the responsibility of managing submitted feature suggestions. The CH community would vote on ideas just like in idea-warz. Participants would also be encouraged to elaborate on the suggestions they make. The analyst would be strongly encouraged to accept high-ranking ideas into the final specification. When it comes time to commence development, the resulting list from feature-warz would be locked down to become the working specification. When it comes time to release the final software product, it will be to potential users eager to get their hands on it.

I thought of this idea when I was...

As I was reading through Idea-Warz.

I was thinking exactly the same thing as I was reading through the ideas. We must be brothers.

This is a good idea. I would like to see many of the ideas from Cambrain House bundled into a tool where we can use them for other types of descisions.

One of the freaky things about humans is when given three products, say A, B, and C, we may like A more than B and B more than C while also liking C more than A. Yeah, we are complex critters, for sure!

I like the idea. I think you should expand the market and make it so you can offer a service to software companies where they can allow enhancement requests be posted to a site where all their current users could vote on which enhancement request was done next.

I currently work with Electronic Medical Records and we are constantly sending new enhancement requests to our software vendor. They currently just go off of feel of how many people could use that enhancement. Giving a software vendor an idea warz would let them quantify why some ideas get implemented sooner.
