For People and website owners who want promote their business in a ball game on a pleasure manner the webball where teams of 11 players will move the ball arround websites by shooting the ball from widget to widget. is a great game todo that will connect and activate people, promote websites etc.... Unlike the static pushing and moving boring banners our product create fun and will activate people to have fun while they learn new appearing websites by gaming on the web which can be accessed by everyone. You have to pay to be a player of a team..
WebBall is an exciting new multiplayer webbased football game, where two teams out of 11 persons can play the ball to each other by clicking on widgets on their websites. Players can buy a widget to join a team. How longer a team has the ball and how more they shoot the ball together how more points they will get to win the game. Afcourse a big competion between teams, every week an exchange of the teams.
After playing NavBall. Shooting a bal with a gps through a city http://www.the-saints.nl And reading more about widgets http://www.glittertools.com And while my kids playing on a football field I was thinking of how we could connect more people on a pleasure way. Let's play and have fun while we learn each others business.
games me like.... business me dreams!
Let's play webbal :-)
I love the idea, it could be huge. But is it fast paced ? If speed is a factor for your success in the "game" ? If so won't people come and go from websites too fast to get their message across ?
I am pretty confused. You kick a ball by clicking on a widget? Is this some sort of blog plugin? What happens to the ball?
What?
My biggest problem is that I don't see people paying money to have this widget. I think you'd definitely have to be free to get enough people to use it. Then, you could have them pay for the premium membership possibly.
agree with techguy fully!
<<I am pretty confused. You kick a ball by clicking on a widget? Is this some sort of blog plugin? What happens to the ball?>>
Yes it is. You can copy a widget like the ones you can get on http://www.glittertools.com. This widget has connection to a webservice of the backoffice of the webbal game. Something like this: http://www.morevalue.nl/sport. Now suppose we create a Cambridge team. Every team needs a sponsos and should pay to join the game. Oké in the beginning I wil launch it for free. But as soon we succeed we ask money for joining the game, aafcourse we can move some profit to a charity.
About the ball. When the game start, the ball will lay down on the main site of webbbal, the first player of the team who is online is able to kick the ball by selecting a player and click on the ball. The ball will go to an other website which you can see on the widget. On the widget you can see if the ball is defend as well by other players. Shoot the ball to the site which is not defend by an other teamplayer. Try to keep the ball in your team. Maybe you can buy and win nice clothes when you'r a good player.
Ans why I can't edit my posts!!!!!???? What is this???
I should see this
<<I should see this>>
See a widget on your website or webblog, which will tell the visitors you are one of the players of webbal. In the widget (3 by 5 cm) somewhere on the left or right border, you see a green field with 2 teams of 11 players. You can see who has the ball. The visitor on your website will like it or not you are playing webbal, but maybe like it to see who are the other players are and go from there to the websites of your team members. Anyway we know where the ball is, now an other teamplayer could go to that widget and select an other team member and is able to shoot the bal to an other team member. The trick is to be the first on the website to catch the ball and shoot the ball further maybe to your won team. Further you see on the widget how may points each team has. You get points when each team member has touched the ball. So it's just fun todo, visit each others website get the status of best player and hafe fun. Goals behind this concept are:
- activate people to visit websites of your team.
- maybe we could ad a dimension by adding a public button. How more public a team has extra points will rain:-)
- A game take one week.
- Shoot the ball or support a player and you be a good guy:-)

Tjee sorry for my spell ãnd type mistakes and apoligize for the technies over here who probably can't create an edit button on the comments!
"No edit button for you!" (Soup Nazi voice). Sorry we won't have one for current rev of our site.
The concept of playing over public sites is sort of neat... I mean the GWABS game concept was launched with the idea of playing on your friends desktop, so there's probably some traction there. I think though the concept isn't enough to make the game good or bad. Its just one tiny aspect of what might constitute a fun game.
Goosie seems to have the best ideas in this round!
