For anyone who wants to buy a used item - from junk to gunk the world market is a website that spider searches every local classified listing. Unlike ebay our product lists each item for sale close to your location from every resource..
It's irritating working through Ebay, every city on Craigslist, local Classifieds and buying those rags like Buy and Sell, Recycler etc. when someone want to buy a USED ITEM. Wouldn't it be nice to find all that information on one site. WORLD GARAGE SALE....
I want an RV, but in order to find one - I have to search high and low - it's a hassle.
Recently, www.indeed.com came out with a spider search that finds jobs in your city, field, etc. It's pretty cool. It searches every major job board, and puts links on one site. One search - EASY!!!! Imagine typing in "Airstream" and finding all the listings in your area!!!!
It would be a similar website. One click and your searching all relevant databases for the item in question - in your town. Imagine each paper's classifieds, local buy sell rags, craigslist etc. all listed one after the other.
No more mindless time consuming searches...just your city - your item - help find it.
It's a simple concept - one site - one search!
clicking through Craigslist looking for an RV. One city after another - I appreciate how "free" craigslist is - but it was a waste of time.
Then one day while clicking through Indeed.com - I thought - that's it. A site dedicated to bringing all the "used" item for sale classifieds into one portal....one search.
Revenue would come from traffic - advertising on the site for classifieds, newspapers, buy and sells, recycler's etc.
I love the idea of competition for Ebay....free!!!!
Struggling with a great website name - and what technology it would take to create a listing engine that would collect data/sort and create a master site of each item - local - etc.
Like I said it would mimic the concept of http://www.indeed.com
