The Idea

I think most of you have a ton of business cards from people you have met. And you have given your card to your business contacts as well. I have at least 50+ business cards and I have always wondered why I cant save a soft copy of these cards.

The idea is to provide a solution for people to manage their business cards. The business cards themselves are one's professional network.

- A website where we would store a users' business cards electronically.
To do this either the user scans his cards and takes a picture from his phone and would email to us. We would use some character recognition to save the contact details electronically.

- Users can go online and change their details (change in ph no etc) and that would change with everyone in their network.

- A method for users to transfer their virtual business card through their mobile, using some proximity networking technology such as Bluetooth. This would be handy if you are in a conference and can transfer the contact details.

I thought of this idea when I was...

Was trying to get rid of some of my old business cards.
