The Idea
A number of the ideas submitted to CH involve websites that can be launched and branded at a local level, for example, barter sites, service directories, car parking sites, etc. These sites can be managed and promoted at a local level by people that live in that location, know the area, have local contacts.
Franchisr builds, distributes and supports the software required for people to set up these localized services. The support includes: software, hosting, marketing materials, legal documentation and e-commerce facilities. Franchisees also benefit from the wisdom of other franchisees through a support community. Franchisr takes a small percentage of the profit from these local nodes.
Franchisr provides a great opportunity for people to set-up, manage and market a web-based service in their local area, with considerably less risk than a traditional business.

Seeing how many ideas on CH involve ideas that work well at a local level and could benefit from a central support site.

This is great, Psycsplash. This is one good business component that could represent a part of Cycko's business lego concept in xkonek.net. When the crowd is relieved from this and similar tasks to be done, more energy is spent on the creative and innovative aspects business ideas and the speed of its execution is enhanced.
It'd be great to put together a nice little package walking someone through from the beginning to the end of setting up the various web-based services. But are you competing with a CH member if their business idea becomes reality? What is attributed to the original idea holder?

LoveTech: Franchisr is definitely a meta-model that could be applied to a variety of businesses. If someone has built a great business concept and would like it franchised, Franchisr can help.
bparsons: great idea re: "walk through package". With regards to competing with CH members, I would be looking to team with people who have created services they would like franchised. They would retain ownership of the idea. Franchisr would simply help them turn the software into a feasible franchising option and take care of the management of the franchisees.
