The Idea

My idea is simple and I think useful. Users sign up for a service which allows them to search through other users bookmarks. Internet users are the best search engine anyone could use. Day by day we surf the net in search of information, when we find a site we like we bookmark it. Lets say every user on average has 20 bookmarks multiply this by the number of internet users and you have the biggest directory of useful, validated and carefully chosen sites.

I thought of this idea when I was...

I like surfing the net for new inspiration, new business ideas. Ordinary search engines don't do the trick. I have a large collection of bookmarks which I collected through the years and I thought to myself there are probably users which also have their own collections of websites. I said to myself why not creat a service which would allow me to browse through them.

This is a very good idea. But just I think peope should also be able to rate the sites as well. While a bookmark is a positive vote for a site, it does not provide quite enough information.

del.icio.us is similar, but you get my vote up as your idea seems to be oriented more on not losing stuff than socializing :)

I must admit i have a similar idea. But mine is a standalone application! Have you thought about that. Visit my new idea - it will be out soon :)
