The Idea

My Million Dollar Movie.com is an ecomerce website that allows the public to become producers in my movie for less than the price of a movie ticket.
I am selling frames of my film for $10 each in order to raise the funds to shoot my first feature film. With your purchase, you receive credit as a producer on the website as well as the final film itself. You can post photos or videos to your profile, as well as post links to your own website. And when the film turns a profit, you stand to make money off your purchase, based on the number of frames you've bought.
Further incentives include; a referral program, contests and to participate in the casting of the film itself.
The site is live and translated into 7 languages. There are already producers in 18 countries and more are joining every day.
We have a phenomenal sales conversion rate of 45%
The Cambrian House community could assist me in spreading the word to online communities, speeding up the funding process.

I thought of this idea when I was...

I wanted to give the public the opportunity to participate and benefit in the process but I wasn’t sure how to go about letting the world know of my plan. I figured that the Internet was the best place to start and that is when I discovered Alex Tew’s brilliant business model for his “Million Dollar Home Page”.
The problem was that everyone and their grandmother were jumping on this bandwagon. I needed something different.
Then one sleepless night it came to me: sell the frames of the film to the public and get them involved in the process of making the film.
I quickly realized that once I made my first film and proved this model worked, I could open an online studio that would allow the public to participate in the films they choose.
