The Idea

Eliminate the middle-man! As a contractor, I pay anywhere from $5 to $20 per hour to a recruiter.

A simple web site that would allow companies to meet IT contractors would cut out the middle man. My company would still perform initial interviews, reference checks, etc.

My fee to companies would be just $2 per hour per contractor. With such low fees, profits will be derived from a large volume of contractors being placed.

I thought of this idea when I was...

I am a contractor, and I know how crazy some of these recruiter fees are. I wanted to create my own website just promoting my skillset... then it occured to me that most contractors are in the same situation.

I think this would work in as community based portal..but not much on a larger scale... except if you create a hub and global affiliations perhaps!?

Saigon, I like your thinking...

I think a part of the hub could be accounting services to the contractor as well...

Sounds like a good idea.

Agency fees are way too high, and they share to little with the "Worker" ?
Your fee structure should attract both a higher caliber of worker, and on account of this together with reduced costs increase sales volumes .

Good luck.

Saigon, what does an IT contractor portal have to do with eMemorial central? I am confused.
