As the transmission and reception range of Bluetooth increases in future, it is possible to use this technology for short range communication like a walkie talkie.
For example, in a mall or an office building.
a SPAM chat for Mobile?
i don't think it is SPAM, but more a thought
???
Very underdeveloped and general... might as well have said the population will grow and smaller houses will be needed.
Could you elaborate on the evidence that bluetooth will be an appropriate technology for this? From my understanding it is very short range.
@divided eye..i mean octa8on's idea using bluetooth would pop up a spam hi & hellos to another mobile thus would make it a SPAM chat.
Why - when walkie-talkies are already inexpensive and have exceptional range? What would be the advantage of using Bluetooth? Would you be able to separate into different channels?
check out the 700mhz debates for more ideas.
Blue-tooth is made for short range! There are many other existing radios that work just fine and far better then blue-tooth for communications.
As pointed out by others, why would bluetooth offer an advantage over other options and already exsisting walkie talkies?
Bluetooth is getting further but it would never be long enough for a effective walkie talkie
why??? i see no possible advantage of using bluetooth over the standard cb radio. especially since many of them can go for about 5 to upwords of 20 km and bluetooth is good for about 5 meters. that and the fact that bluetooth requires more complex hardware and isn't optimized for such use make this worth about 1 star to me
Who ever created this idea please contact me. I understand your idea and i think its what I have been looking for.
