It's a good thought, but please tell us HOW you're going to help band managers get gigs/equipment/etc.
this needs to be fleshed out a lot more. :( sorry to say that.
This is what your pitch should be:
Band Manager is a social networking site that is specialized for people in music industry (professional and semi professional) and those who manager them.
Features:
Venue search: A way to search for locations for a show, ranging from Jim's backyard to Madison Square Garden. This would also feature a customer review feature and a photo gallery.
Audience Prediction: based on metrics (how new you are, past show attendance, $ spent on ads, other shows that night)
Equipment rentals: a Google map mashup with a dynamic database of all music rental equipment.
Equipment reviews: the good the bad and the ugly of all things sound and lighting
Help wanted: find band members, roadies, marketing
Up coming shows: advertise your show to the world
Try something like that for a pitch.
