The Elevator Pitch

For web Business people who have a HUGE online presence the Metatme is a Web Widget that saves you time when exchanging contact information. Unlike nothing else our product is the only contact card you will ever need online.

The Idea

The NEW version

Metatme is a web service that spits out a online contact card. This card automatically links to major web 2.0 services( Social networks, photo sites, video sites etc) that you have already signed up for.

It also contains your MULTIPLE phone numbers, email addresses and IM addresses.

Metatme uses html and css and can be embedded in your blog, email, facebook etc by javascript.

*you can update the info at anytime and we provide a link to the contact card on our website so you can use the link on your biz card.

The OLD version:
The problem: As the web grows in importance, we find ourshevles signing up for many different internet services. A lot of the services are meant to be shared between friends.

Metame is a simple web page and widget that contains links to your blogs, email address, photo sites, accounts.

Metatme is like a del.ico.us that links only to the accounts that you own.
Metatme is a widget you can paste on your blog or facebook.

I thought of this idea when I was...

That was my second domain name and I wanted a all my friends to see my ENTIRE web presence.

hmm...actually i was thinking that it is the opposite of netvibes. Netvibes is used to manage your own accounts.
My idea is to allow people to see what services you use and allow them to see what content you own in that services

Couldn't del.ico.us be used for that purpose? Just set up an account called ybother-all-about-me on del.ico.us, and use it to only bookmark your own stuff?

(I like your idea, but even if it was more automated then my del.ico.us could ever be, I don't think I'd use it myself.)

My personal website contains just that - a list of links to assorted pieces of my online presence - and as you suggest, I have included the link on various profiles etc in the hope that people might bother to click through.

Hopefully your service would become a recognised type of 'business card' that people know will give them easy access to this information. For users it'll then be a quick and easy way to get their presence out there.

Hmm... thinking about the business card theme... You mentioned photo sites and profile pages; these are the sort of thing I might want to share with my friends, but not necessarily what I want to present to coworkers, business contacts and the CH community, for example. How about allowing users to have two (or more?) contact cards for use in different situations, all administered from one simple site, with easy sharing of sites between business and personal, etc?

I agree with PhilipH, your idea sounds like a digital business card, and using that distinction in your elevator pitch might help differentiate your idea from sites like netvibes.

I also like PhilipH's idea about different cards for different situations.
