The Elevator Pitch

For those online casino gamblers who are dissatisfied with the limitations of traditional online gambling, the Web 3.0 Casino Gaming is a new generation of online gaming that will bring online and offline gambling worlds together. Unlike todays standard online gaming our product allows users to play at the best casinos in the world in real time.

The Idea

Have a site where users can play at their favorite casinos from around the world, from their homes, in real time. "Systems" would be placed at casino gaming tables to allow online users and in-house guests to interact playing side by side. Online gaming is a billion dollar industry and has only begun to be touched.
"Web 3.0, expected to debut in 2007, will be more connected, open, and intelligent, with semantic Web technologies, distributed databases, natural language processing, machine learning, machine reasoning, and autonomous agents." www.KurzweilAI.net
Online gaming as we know it will be brought to a whole new level of play.
This is my first time on the site. I have no idea if this is already in the works or not at all feasible. I don't gamble. I just wanted to throw something out there to see how the site works and get a feel for it. Homework will be done from now on.
Cheers!

I thought of this idea when I was...

How would i be represented at the gaming table in vegas while sitting in my Bible belt state living room?

Well, a rough sketch could be that both online and in-house users are represented by web cams. This would allow for streaming both video and audio in real time. Flat panels could be placed at tables to allow in-house guests to view online guests. And the web cam at the table would allow the online guests to view the in-house guests. Gaming that has no limits. Play the Taj, MGM, Caesars, etc. Imagine?Playing with the rich and famous.

Great idea, but it probably doesn't go far enough. How about gambling games that can exist _only_ online? You can offer much more than a way to visit existing casinos and play Texas Hold 'em one more time.

I think the idea has merit. I'm not sure how much better this is than just gambling online. In fact, why not put everyone at the table online with webcams. Pretty much the same, but the webcams would be unique I think.

I do like the idea of branding the online casino locations the same as existing casinos. However, remember that each casino would want to be paid for using their name.

"I'm not keen on video screens at all tables, I'll tell you why. After traveling over 5000 miles to Vegas from the UK (on more then one occasion) I would not want to play with TV screens. When playing blackjack I want people round the table I can high five after we all beat the dealer. If playing poker those in the room are at a distinct disadvantage for spotting tells, compared to the remote guy.
Personally I would avoid tables with remote players in these cases, and that means my bum isn't on a seat, which the casino will hate.
Conversely something like craps and roulette might be better suited, as they would not have remote users taking up seats in the game. The remote user can then login and play the table and enjoy the ambience.

There is potential in some games more then others I think. For card games generally you would be better pitching at rooms for all remote users via webcam with big name casino endorsements. Even then though its just a step not a leap from online gambling."

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. That’s the great part; it can be used in many different ways.

Have you ever went to a casino?

If so, you must understand that they have created an environment that makes you loss track of time to make you play as much as possible.

What about winning with a crowd of people around you... It's not the same.

I think that online gaming and real world gaming can't mix well with the available technologies. I'm saying that it can be done... but the means in witch they go about reaching their goals are not the same.

I love this idea, but it is illegal. The United States has VERY strict rules about online gambling. If you wanted to do this, you would have to base it outside of the US government's reach.

I'm sorry but I am afraid that gambling is a tax on people who are prone to gambling addiction. I can't support it because it conflicts with my personal beliefs about gambling. Sorry.
