The Idea

xTraffix is an online application (PC: www.xtraffix.com; Mobile: wap.xtraffix.com), that enables you to view traffic information about any desired location on the condition that you FIRST submit traffic information about your current location.
The traffic report is an average of users' submitted traffic report over a specific period of time (10 min, 30 min, 1 hour) and the most selected report option over that period of time, it also includes ratings by super-users (like independent RELIABLE traffic reporters) and governmental agencies (like commissioned road traffic agents).
The reports are also based on the standard TOS (A-F) traffic ratings, and will form a basis for producing travel time for roads over a long period of time.
The application also allows you to plot various routes from one destination to another.
Finally, this is still a budding application, so you might discover that your street or even state has not been included, kindly add it too.
It works as far as people use it

I thought of this idea when I was...

held up in 2 - 3 hours traffic due to a break down, or rush hour traffic. And realizing that hundreds of people were ALREADY there before I came, and wishing they had fore-warned me and everyone else just joining the road about the condition of the road before I got there, and wishing there could be a way of warning the hundreds more coming of the traffic situation before they got here.
